Love, Passion and the Art of Romance

In Search of Fertility is a visual roadmap of the places I’ve been on the journey to parenthood, the sometimes fruition of love, passion and romance.  I never wanted children.  Ever.  Even as a little girl I refused to play with dolls.  Three years ago that changed.  A little too late.  So far.

Using eggs, the essence of fertility, and other props as my subjects, I photograph their stories.  Boiling, burning, rotting, playing, dancing and singing.  Seeking to give birth to something that will last beyond them.  Like a mad scientist seeking a reaction, I set into motion events and photograph the scene and ensuing action as it unfolds, acting as both instigator and scribe.
