![]() "Visitor" Jared David Paul Denver, CO ink on rice paper 48 x 72 x 2 click on image to see it in a larger clear format Two gestures of ink create a circular movement that transcends the physical canvas. In the middle exists a void which has as much to do with the piece as the non-void. Materials, techniques and processes: The work utilizes much preparation and execution. The rice paper is adhered to the panel or canvas with a neutral medium. The paper is then painted on with ink and water. There is no erasing, so there exists only confident mark-making. Mission, motivation or philosophy: I am a Gesturist and Optimist and an Expressionist. My work is created in a finite moment to engage an infinite moment. It is my intention the viewer meet my work half way as it does not depict any particular subject or know thing.
