Drawings are inks on a "ground" of paper that has been activated or "marbelized by dipping. Images are suggested by the ground. There is a maximum tension between the accidental and the controlled. The essence of expressionism is in the freedom and directness of drawing. Usually my drawings and paintings concern figures which are moving or about to move.
